"This spring we outfitted our 57 ft. paddle wheeler, The Spirit of the Hudson, with a new pro-environment bottom paint. The paint, HullSpeed 3000 series was applied to make the hull easier to clean, increase speed and fuel economy and support the use of ‘green’ bottom paints. So far we have seen and done just that. Our speed at 1200 rpm’s, which is our standard operating rate, increased by 9% and our fuel consumption decreased by 8.5% compared to last year. While being examined by HullSpeed staff two months after put in, any growth on her was wiped away by hand with one stroke. The guys over at HullSpeed must be doing something right..."

"We recently coated our rescue boat with HullSpeed 3000 series. After doing pre and post speed trials we have seen a measurable difference. At lower rpm’s we saw a 7% speed increase and at higher RPM’s we saw a 3% increase. This will allow us to do our job more effectively where time is of the most importance. We are also excited about the ease of cleaning especially because the boat is not used on a regular basis and the Mohawk River provides ample opportunity for growth and slime buildup."
